"Like anything else, practice makes perfect. If in the beginning your models aren't coming out the way they should, don't worry. Crumple it up, tell everyone it's a piece of the exploded Death Star, and try again."
―Introduction [src]

Star Wars Origami: 11 Amazing Paper Folding Projects from a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... is an origami art book by Chris Alexander. It contains twelve characters to fold, with forty-two sheets of paper. Each character has a paragraph before the folding instructions to explain who they are. Foldable characters [ ]

While the title of the book implies that there are only eleven foldable characters, there are actually twelve, as the instructions for Jango Fett are also to be used for Boba Fett. Each character is assigned a rank from the Jedi Order to imply their difficulty, ranging from Youngling, to Padawan, to Jedi Knight, to Jedi Master. The following is a list of all foldable character, along with their levels of difficult:

  • Han Solo (Carbonite) (Youngling)
  • Boba Fett/Jango Fett (Youngling)
  • Yoda (Padawan)
  • C-3PO (Padawan)
  • Bantha (Padawan)
  • Princess Leia Organa (Padawan)
  • Chewbacca (Padawan)
  • Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine) (Padawan)
  • R2-D2 (Jedi Knight)
  • Jabba the Hutt (Jedi Master)
  • Darth Vader (Jedi Master)

Continuity [ ]

The book states that Chewbacca met Han Solo when Solo refused to kill him on a mission whilst in the Imperial Academy, whilst Chewbacca was on the run from Imperial forces. However, this was retconned in Solo: A Star Wars Story, released over two years later in 2018, which shows that Solo rescued Chewbacca from slavery, and then escaped the campaign he was participating in at the time.[2] The book also mistakenly refers to the event at which Queen Amidala was fourteen years old as the Battle of Endor, while in fact it was the Invasion of Naboo.[3] [4]
